What if it’s raining?

The ice rink can operate in most weather conditions so please bring suitable outdoor clothing. This is an outdoor event and no refunds will be given due to inclement weather. In the unlikely event that the Duty manager deems it necessary to close the ice rink, alternative sessions will be offered for skating, subject to availability.

What should I wear?

Dress warmly, gloves and thick socks are advisable.  Please wear wet weather clothing in case of inclement weather.

Is the rink open Christmas Day?

Unfortunately, the rink is closed Christmas Day and will open at the later time of 11.00am on Boxing Day and New Years Day

Do I have to arrive early prior to my skating session?

It is advisable to arrive at least 15 minutes before your skate

Is there a café at the rink?

There will be a café serving hot drinks – tea, coffee, hot chocolate and light snacks.

Can I bring my own skates?

Yes

Can people watch for free?

Yes, spectators are welcome to watch from the side of the rink and can enjoy ligh refreshments.

Do children need to be accompanied by an adult?

Under 8’s must be accompanied by a rink paying adult at all times. One child under 8 per skater.
